A brand of Chargeurs Interlining
Lainiere de Picardie began its activities as a spinning mill in 1903 .It was just after 1945 that the production of fabrics tailored in pure wool started, the true ancestor of interlining.
From that time, Lainiere de Picardie has not ceased to innovate and to expand.

1972
First use of trades weft winders in the world.
1983
Acquisition of Steinmann SA.
1984
Acquisition of Willert in Germany.
1985
Development of interlining by transfer.
1988
Birth of the textured polyesters.
1993
Acquisition of Stroud Riley in South Africa.
1994
Launching of the microporous department of Proline. Industrial development and external acquisitions.
1995
Acquisition of Bertero in Italy.
1995
Acquisition of D.H.J. taken again from the Canadian group Dominion Textile.
1996
Acquisition of Canada Hair Cloth and Textile Crown in North America.
1997
Inauguration of Lainiere de Picardie Wujiang in China.
1997
Acquisition of Textilana in Czech Republic and GolaPlast in Brazil.
1998
Firet taken again from British group IPT, as well as the companies Nippon Haskell Hong Kong and Singapore.
2000
2000 Closure of Lainiere de Picardie S.A and creation of Chargeurs Interlining S.A, Lainiere de Picardie BC S.A.S (taking again the activities of production and marketing of Lainiere de Picardie SA) and of Proline Textile S.A.S.
